Stem cell trial

  1. Good to see a bona fide trial even if very small in terms of participants. Some commments / thoughts:

    - I'm not sure if the trial used immunosuppression before the stem cells were injected?

    - I'm not sure how this differs from Prof Freedman's approach in Canada?

    - when stem cells started to look promising as a potential treatment, it was for repairing damage i.e. replacing neurons / axons etc. Now the focus seems to be on addressing the immune system and neuro-protection. Is repair (leading to reversal of established disability) no longer seen as a potential benefit which stem cells treatments can provide?
