Digestive Science for the wee ones

What was Team G up to this weekend?

We have been trying to develop some new educational, yet fun activities for children of MSers. One activity was running round a racing track with lead weights around your ankle. This was a favourite of MSers so their kids could understand the problems faced with walking. Most of these activities were created by Team G, with special input from our Scottish designer who made this a special day for us and the wee (small) ones. We had some great support from an arts teacher, members of Team G, volunteers and the parents.

Queen Mary is quite active in public engagement activities and we have the Centre of the Cell within the laboratory, with about 30,000 visits from school kids each year. A neuron pod is planned once they get enough cash to build it and then we will need to populate it with Neurosicence education
