  1. There very much seems to be an emphasis on progressive MS according to this brochure. Dare I say it, it almost seems a priority, which is a good thing.

Cecelia Johnson, an MSer and video blogger, has really struck a chord with American MSers. (See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABX1HNPan9c.)Her videos often exemplify the big disconnect between a clinician and sufferer. Cecelia also demonstrates the anxiety and fear caught up in most MSers who will chase unproven treatments in a bid to halt progression, often at great expense.

Perhaps one of the biggest stumbling blocks in MS is that of the neurologist not fully grasping the psychology of an MSers. The latter often feels hugely isolated and misunderstood, destined to endure a lifetime of suffering without reprieve. I wish more of an effort was made to dissuade MSers from investing in therapies that do not scientifically work.

Believe me, that's what we spend much of our time doing here. Much to the displeasure of certain lobbyists ;-)
