I hope the Concerto trial for laquinimod started in August this year is specifically looking at the drug's effect on brain atrophy rather than on relapses, as we already know that its effect on relapses is very little. Otherwise it would seem to be a waste of time and money. I don't suppose the concerto trial is looking into using it in combination with anything else either. I don't know whether NICE would be willing to ok it for MS at this stage as it failed its primary objective of reducing relapses to any great extent (although it has a good effect on brain atrophy, but that wasn't one of its stated objectives in its last trial, I think)
