AAN: end-organ damage and saving brain

Saving brain: we need to start focusing on preventing end-organ damage. #MSBlog #MSResearch

"As promised, the following is my presentation from the satellite meeting I spoke at on Wednesday night at the AAN. The purpose of the meeting was to highlight the hidden burden of MS, 'the iceberg', and how we need to be more vigilant in looking for asymptomatic disease and to switch and/or escalate treatment as soon as possible to prevent end-organ damage. I spoke on the clinical aspects of the disease that is meant to be above the water, but highlighted the hidden clinical aspects of MS, i.e. unreported relapses, cognitive impairment, fatigue, depression and anxiety."
