Ocrelizumab Results

You said

Dear B cells,

I want to end our relationship.

It's not you its me, I feel that you participate in an attack against me for no good reason. We've had a long time together but I think that you need to leave.

  2. I don't think it all B cells, just those turned to the dark side by the evil influence of the Epstein Barr virus.

  3. "Epstein Barr wars - a new hope" Interesting! Could it be the first chapter of a succesful saga? I personally hope so.

    1. If you want to see what Epstein Barr modified B cells can do to you, look up mixed cellularity Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The number of cancer cells is tiny but the disruption of the immune system is huge.

  4. If I understand this Ocrelizumab business correctly, I don't think I'll be writing such an understanding letter to my B cells. Just wait till I get my hands on them... [Multiple expletives]

    1. Yes and no, it hits cells in blood but not so much in tissues and a few months after lemtrada you have more B cells than before Lemtrada.

    2. Teriflunomide also works on B cells! But the real question is.. What does long term suppression of B cells look like?

    3. Plus, as I understand it, those returning B cells post Lemtrada are rehabilitated and have been thru relationship therapy and are now "friendly".

  7. This is like one of those crappy Gilenya ads even though the sentiment is appreciated.
